Entirely handmade in our California studio, Suzanne Kalan’s emerald jewelry is created with fine 18K yellow, white or rose gold, and high-quality emeralds sourced from Colombia and Zambia and are never heat treated, preserving each stone’s inherent beauty and character.
Our diamonds are also entirely natural and ethically sourced, and deliberately set at irregular angles to create the perfect accent for our colored stones. Proudly crafted in the USA since 1988.

Our emeralds are sourced from Zambia and Colombia and selected for their natural beauty. They are never heat treated, preserving each stone's inherent character, and are expertly cut in Thailand.
Our standard ring sizes run from a size 6 to size 7.5 US, our signet ring sizes run from size 4 to 5.5 US, and our tech ring jackets run from size 7.5 to 9.5 US.
If you require a custom size, contact us and we will be pleased to help. Custom sizes outside the standard range are final sale, and additional charges may apply for rings larger than our standard sizes. We also offer complimentary resizing on eligible designs, with shipping the only cost.
Yes, we typically recommend sizing up by a quarter to half size for thicker bands. Wider rings naturally fit more snugly because they cover more surface area on the finger. Adjusting slightly allows for a more comfortable fit and gives your finger a bit of breathing room while maintaining a secure feel.

Our eternity bands cannot be resized. Because diamonds or gemstones are set continuously all the way around the band, altering the size would disrupt the design and compromise the structural integrity of the ring. Due to their nature our eternity bands are Exchange Only.

Clean your gemstone jewelry in lukewarm water: let it soak for a few minutes, clean gently in and around the settings with a soft brush, then pat dry with a soft cloth. Remove your jewelry during activities that could scratch or knock the stones, and keep it away from intense heat and harsh chemicals. Professional cleaning and polishing is available; contact us to arrange it.
The stones in our main collections are not individually GIA certified, as certifying every stone would add significant cost to each piece. Larger diamonds and emeralds featured in our one-of-a-kind pieces may carry GIA certificates. A Suzanne Kalan certificate of authenticity, confirming the quality of the diamonds in your piece, is available with every purchase.
